I'm absolutely serious. The finale was great.

This is blowing my mind

Well, yeah. But they've been laying that storyline down for awhile. This wasn't some new revelation that Michael would try to make a move and pay dearly for it.

An opium addict finally hits rock bottom in his addiction? Color me shocked. I don't know why people are shocked by Arthur's decline given how hard he's been living life in the last few seasons.

I'm not going to be impressed because something is predictable. Killing Michael was a great scene, I've been waiting for that for a while. But Michael's character this season was pretty irrelevant. Arthur, while predictable, was also boring. An addict hitting rock bottom can be an intriguing story. They just avoided doing anything with it other than making him look stupid. One of the most intriguing characters for five seasons basically becomes an irrelevant background character in the final season and nothing in the final episode. Come on.

It was a great reveal.

You have watched too much TV to think this was a good reveal He is about to kill himself and he has some gypsy dream that tells him he's not sick. That's laughable.

And again, the Mosley's/Nelson/German/Nazi/Hitler/Roosevelt story that was the main focus for the entire season just faded into nothing.

I don't know why. You're melting all the way down over this unnecessarily.

Arthur has been unstable and in decline for awhile. And they actually redeemed him a bit by the IRA scene. Again, not sure why anyone is shocked when he's been drunk and high for majority of the show. That generally doesn't end well for anyone.

We literally end the season with Tommy openly in conflict with them by killing the IRA connection and killing Michael (giving Alfie half of Boston, which is a HUGE issue for our facist friend from Boston). That'll be a huge part of the movie. Nowhere has that "faded".

Was not interested for most of the season. I did really like the last two episodes, with the exception of the final 10-15 minutes. Would have been better if Tommy died.
