put me in the 'you're scared to get out of your backyard' camp but i have no interest in traveling abroad right now. i did that as a young man and had quite a bit of fun but since covid and cartels, pretty much every story from friends turns out the same way...miserable.

haven't had a single friend say 'wow that trip to mexico last month was flawless.'

I don't know who your friends are and where they are going, but I haven't had even one that said that about Mexico, even since Covid. Maybe your friends are going to the wrong places. Pretty much it's been great post Covid...less people.
