I feel dumb. Electricity question about Germany and Italy

Sorry I am dumb. This is my first overseas trip and I have a few power adapters for my trip to Germany and Italy. They’re not converters. All of the devices we’re planning to bring are dual voltage so I think I’m good. My question is related to the quantity of plugs. Can I plug a cheap power strip into the adapters as long as everything I’m plugging into the strip is dual voltage?
Am I going to burn down the hotels?
Do I need to video in portrait mode while I plug it in or is landscape mode acceptable?

Just get a universal plug adapter with multiple USB ports.
Both Italy and Germany use the same plug.

Thank you, I already bought the adapters. They have 1 regular US style plug each. No USB ports.
I’m curious if what I already have will work.

Most every electronic will work over there with just an adapter. USA Hair dryers and curling irons generally won't work with their current. As far as a power strip, I guess you mean plugging a US power strip into a socket using an adapter? I've never done that but it should work, Amps are amps and watts and watts, although they probably have some bullshite metric equivalent. I would probably just buy a power strip once I get over there though.

Thank you, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Just a US power strip into the adapter was what I was thinking but didn’t want to burn down a hotel.

Only if the power strip is rated for 220 volts.

Yea i wouldn't do this unless it's rated for 220v.
Also, if you need a power strip, you are bringing way to much shite.

USA Hair dryers
My ex-wife almost burned down a hotel in Brussels once trying to use her hair dryer she just had to drag across Europe

Bring a battery pack. We bring one on all our trips abroad. Let it charge during the day while you are out and about. Give your devices a bump in the evening if you need it and let it charge at night. Also comes in handy if you are out for a long day. Take it with for those times to give your phone a quick charge.

Thanks and yes, you're correct. It's me, my wife our two girls and my mother in law. I'm bringing WAY too much shite.
