Sounds like some asshat motivational speaker rationalizing why people can’t stay at a job for any length of time. He should’ve just said people are always trying to better their position. “Toxic cultures” is a rather subjective term. The people being toxic never seem to think the environment is bad at all. And given the number o f people who job hop, it’s rather disingenuous to allege all those workplaces are toxic.

I think we have a crisis of bad middle management across most industries currently.
