Just finished the season.

I'm so disappointed in Black Noir. This whole time, he's been hyped up to be the ultimate badass. Turns out, he was not. He got his shite utterly kicked in by Soldier Boy. At the sound of hearing he's alive, he runs to his childhood home to cry and play with the Looney tunes. He only returns basically to beg Homelander to kill him. Such a waste of a character

Queen Marve really surprised me. I guess we can call her a legitimate Wonder Woman. She was never going to win. But she got some good punches in. That fight went a little bit how I would imagine an all out Superman v Wonder Woman fight.

Can the Deep go away. We get it, he's a fish fricker, not to mention he's utterly useless out of water. At least Aquaman is still super strong when not in water.

I see this show ending like this. Eventually, HL will finally crack. He will kill 1000s of people in a rampage. Ryan, aged a few years, potentially about 15 years old. Will see that his dad is out of control. And boom, we have us another Invincible (when tf does this show return!)type fight, father v son. Butcher will come in with some permanent V to help Ryan end Homeland for good when Ryan is getting his shite punched in.

It’s time for Atrain and Deep to go.

And come to think of it, why are we supposed to feel more bad for him than others? He’s almost as loyal to Vought as Homelander and never did a good deed on screen. Yes he received several gruesome injuries, had the shite bullied out of him, and had a ton of trauma, but his attempt at redemption was simply to kill a monster by aligning with another monster. If he had succeeded, I see nothing to suggest that he wouldn’t have gone back to towing the company line. Perhaps the point they were trying to make is that there will always be another monster and that Noir’s loyalty to what’s creating the monsters/abusers is misguided and tragic.

The whole cartoon characters angle was fascinating but it doesn’t really mean that he was a good person deep down. Sure the beaver said how scared and sensitive he was, but that’s also something that a psychopath could come up with.

Don’t get me wrong I loved his backstory. I just didn’t really feel that bad when he died
