Brees cucked out to get in the good graces of NBC corporate.
They don't like him anymore because his rating obviously suck so they are kicking him to the curb.
Lesson learned: don't act out against your principles and look weak and undignified. Sure you would have never landed the NBC gig but at this point you would likely be in a minor Fox Sports role anyway. At least you would still have your principles and dignity in tact and be more popular with long term loyal fans. But now you lost NBC and you still don't have the previously loyal fans you lost a couple of years ago.

Yup. I understand why he did it but it's almost like a Biblical parable the way it played out. Him and Britney both apologizing was cringe AF.
