I know know, but I do believe social media plays a factor. Covid didn't help the mental state of many of these kids..
And this one will not be popular, but when all of this anti-bully bullshite started, it started giving kids a victim mentality. I know I sound old, I graduated HS in 97, but when I was in school we never heard anything about bullying. People got bullied. The freshman got bullied by seniors. If you were a freshman or sophomore and had a class with seniors or with people who didn't know you, you would get tested and you had to let them know you wasn't a bitch.
It just seems like the youth (whether its k-12 grade) are not allowed to be the way they are. I think a lot of it is changes in our society. Too much entitlement. A lot of these kids, if they don't get their way they are throwing fits..
I think its several things, but its not music, movies and video games.

Holy crap! I have never agreed with you on much of anything, but you nailed it there.

I 100% agree with this but I don’t think this is causing mass shootings

I disagree with you here.
I think that music and video games absolutely are having an impact. The size of that impact is debatable, but constant exposure to thug culture and violent video games contributs to the blurring of right and wrong. These aren't primary factors but they are contributing factors.
