Am I the only one that doesn't think he's that great?

Not saying don't take him because he is "pretty good" and is a Louisiana guy with big Louisiana high school football connections, but I feel like there has been more recruiting hype around him than warranted.

He’s top ILB on Ohio State USC Wisconsin board.
Best Mike LB in 2023 class.

No question.

I'm impressed that he wore something other than socks and slippers.

Dear John,

The coaching staffs of several major colleges seem to like him.

I'm going to defer to the all of those coaches.

They are gonna come for you.

Kid clearly has loads of talent, but I haven't seen any film of him of him taking in a FB or OG and shedding the block and making a play. By design he has simply not been asked to do this in HS. He plays off the several yards off the LOS and just free roams untouched to the ball. This will not be the case in college.

Disagree.

You never pass on a thumper with room to grow at LB, especially Mike. And he very much seems to have the right instincts for a very instinctive position. The two together are extremely valuable. He'll the "defensive QB" somewhere... we sure could use that at LSU.

Having said that because of the competition it all needs to be verified with in-person (camps or other). But we're talking verification, not evaluation. Evaluation wise he checks most of the boxes.
