Agree 100%. My kid just graduated this week. Straight A’s his whole life and graduated with as many AP and honors classes he could take.

Even he said he didn’t want a party and wasn’t excited and said (I paraphrase) “high school’s not much of an accomplishment, it’s kind of expected that everyone graduates”

Congrats to your son! Your son sounds a lot like my daughter from an academic standpoint. She graduated last week as well...student wise, she is nothing like her old man haha

My kid also graduated this week. He didn’t have all A’s his entire life, but was a honor Grad and took tons of AP courses. He also said it wasn’t a big deal, but I’ve never seen him as happy as he was after the ceremony. Genuine joy.
