I pray that God will reveal Himself to you. But, if what you’re looking for is proof that He exists, that wouldn’t be belief, would it? It would be proof.

That's my point. What is the problem with providing proof? Proof was allegedly provided in Israel 2000 years ago. Why not have another go at it for those of us living in a totally different age?

This is more sensible. I'd probably describe myself as a Deist, but that's very different from Christianity. The creation that surrounds us might be the work of Allah or Brahma or Ahura Mazda.
