That’s why course conditioning around Lafayette sucks. It’s a whores market. NONE of the courses are charging nearly what they should be charging to be able to keep the courses mint. BUT, anytime an increase is being discussed, people bitch more about that than they do the conditions. You get what you pay for.

Its honestly crazy the difference between what BRCC and CCL charge than Oakbourne and LT.. (Initiation Fees not monthly dues)

Ehh, yes and no. The fact of the matter is south Louisiana is a terrible climate for golf course maintenance.
It's of course a different market, but you can play a course for $40 in Dallas that's as nice as many country clubs in south Louisiana. For $100 you can play a course that would be considered primo conditions.
And a decent amount of that reason is they're easier to maintain due to the weather differences.
If the maintenance budget needs to be 20% higher, you can't just raise the rate 20% over another market. At some point there's going to be elasticity of demand.
