Met a guy the other day that paid $121,000 for a 2022 Ford F-450. He uses it for work to haul RVs, but goddamn.

That’s insane.

Did you just crawl out of your cave.
Restaurants and gas are pretty expensive as well in case you need to get all caught up

I believe used cars are up on average 40% and new cars something like 50%

The market will come back down and these people will be so upside down.

Gas will also be $5.00 later this summer.

Yeah motherfricker, but you don’t think $121k for a pickup truck is crazy high?

A fully loaded (plus must have $20k of add ons) f450 isn't exactly just a pickup truck

Thats a good deal in todays market. He’ll get his money’s worth plus he’ll get half his money back when he sells it. Will probably recoup his investment in a few years.

It was a Lariat and diesel of course, but goddamn, an F-450 is basically an F-350 with bigger springs and gears. Anything else that would make it so expensive?

I mean what is your idea of a normal price for a brand new f-450?

there are 2-3 year old ones being sold for >90k?

It was a Lariat. He did some work on my RV and was getting something out of the truck. I commented on the nice truck and he said, “I just got it after waiting over a year. It’s a 2022.” I said, “Damn, I can’t imagine what you had to pay for it. Probably around 90 grand?”

He says, “shite, I wish. Sumbitch cost me $121,000.” My jaw dropped.

One day, people will realize there is only so much space on a mantle to fill with trinkets from Crate & Barrel.

Same with automobiles.
