The Russian military is not in the position to blitzkrieg anyone. You over estimate the military of Russia. They sealed their fate to being cornered and going nuke decades ago. That's why Russian Generals are being killed on the front lines. Their officer corps is ineffective and their senior NCO's non existent.

Might be that their equipment is really shitty. People may be underestimating Putins plans. But maybe his plans would be more effective if their stuff didn’t quit breaking down.
A more effective Russian military would be more apt to force the US to spend more….
