Best Ride Share App in NYC

Going to NYC with wife and son in June. Haven’t really travelled to a large city since pre-Covid. Are there any recommended ride share apps out there better (safer/cheaper/etc) than Uber or Lyft?

Not really. The metro is your cheapest option and a lot of times the fastest option.

Agreed. As someone that lived in south eastern CT, the metro + subway is FAR cheaper than any other option especially if you are moving around a bunch. It may not be the fastest depending on where you. You can buy 7 day unlimited passes for around $30-$35, not sure what it is now.

As the others have said, the subway is the best option. Grab a week long metro card for each of you and you should be able to get almost anywhere on a bus or a subway. Uber and Lyft prices are pretty crazy up there. I don’t recommend it.

IMO, that is the only city in America that it's easier to hail a cab.

You can also hail NYC cabs thru the Uber app

If Via still exists, we used that.
