Amalfi Coast - roads

In Amalfi for our last leg of Rome-Florence-Amalfi trip (2 years belated honeymoon) How does someone not die here everyday?

We spent a week in Positano and did most of our traveling by ferry.
If you are staying in the Town of Amalfi make sure you take the drive up the mountain to Ravello which is a beautiful place. You can take a public or private bus up there. It is only about 5km but it is not an easy drive because the road is narrow and winding.

Grats on finally getting to do your honeymoon. No way in hell I’d ever drive those roads.

We were very stressed driving. Some of the mountain town in Sicily was also scary for me. Heard many people choose to get drivers.

Just drove up and down that coast for 5 days. Was literal insanity. The absolute chaos that is that costal rode blows me away. I can echo your sentiment, how car deaths are not astronomically high I have no idea.

That road supports the passenger side, rear view mirror replacement industry in Italy. You really need to fold it in if you can.
