These dumbasses don't know how close they are to being replaced by a laser...
All it takes is the players union and MLB agreeing to cut them out of the game.

The only defense of the umpire here is the camera angle is not from dead center, so I guess there is a chance the strike zone outline is also off center?
Regardless, the game is in the 4th inning. The ump has by this point "established" his strike zone. As bad as that it is, it is a generally accepted practice. Judging by the reaction of the hitter, he has not only widened the zone, but worse, has done it inconsistently. Ask any player, and the worst thing a plate ump can be is inconsistent.
