Gee, what a shocker that hundreds of black people who said they didn't want to be a part of St George we're excluded per their request.

99.9% of the property owned in Gardere aren’t owned by the residents. They OWNERS didn’t want to be apart of St George and pay higher taxes. You thinking the BLACK people didn’t want to be included sums up the entire St George movement

You mean they also did not want to be apart of the City of BR either.

The casino down the street and notice how they were not annexed into the City of Baton Rooooouge.

That is racist!!!

Owners don’t vote where their property is if they don’t live there. Renters DO vote where they rent, so every single blacks person in Gardere did vote or had the opportunity to vote. Do you think renters can’t vote?

If I own a house in Florida but live in Baton Rouge, I don’t get to vote in Florida.

If I rent a house in District 1, I live in district 1 and I vote in district 1.

Every single person living in Gardere votes in Gardere.

You thinking that only landowners get to vote sums up Baton Rouge.

You pretending the residents on Gardere don't do whatever they are told by Democrats is adorable.

End result is that a ton of signatures in that area got overturned last time, meaning that the remaining legal signatures for the area weren’t very high.

If you try to include a reason where you can’t reasonably assure that the signer lives there and will remain there until the petition is accomplished, you don’t include them.

The area can always apply for annexation after St George is formed.

Hey dumbfrick, the out of town property owners weren't the ones that voiced their opposition by voting against St George the first go-round. The residents were. You thinking the people who don't live there actually got to vote on it sums up your entire level of intelligence.
