Yes the trajectory makes a difference.

When shooting turkeys out of roosting trees, you are supposed to aim about the length of a beer can above the head to account for gravity. Also, I'd recommend thermal over night vision. Thermal seems to give a better picture of the turkeys in the tree without having to rely on the right amount of moonlight.

I'd also recommend a smaller and quieter caliber weapon. Sometimes my neighbors get upset when I shoot the louder boom sticks at night, especially if its right off the property line we share. Back in the day, no one cared, but people are so sensitive nowadays.

Academy WM has some .243 TSS in stock. Don’t let the counter guy fool you. Ask for a manager if he says they are OOS.
