Is Miles just saying what is political in public....

...but thinking something entirely different in his mind and behind closed doors?
Miles ia a former offensive linemen, so he likely lacks competance on pass coverage, and is therefore not sure what to order to fix the problem.
Maybe he is stopping short of throwing his coaches under the bus because he just does not understand what to do. (of course he keeps thowing his players under the bus to defend the coach schemes).
Either way, we are eff'ed unless wisdom arrives in Tigerttown soon

No, it is rhetorical in nature. I am suggesting that Miles does "get it". I am suggesting that, but becuase he would say the same thing regardless of how he feels (politics), NO ONE really knows what he is thinking.

I highly doubt that there is anything football that Miles doesn't "get."

Miles hasn't thrown any players under the bus, and if you think he has you're definition of "throwing players under the bus" is a lot different than any of the actual players.
Miles is a player's coach. The players prefer Miles' style over Saban's, trust me ... I know first hand. There was damn near an internal implosion under Saban in 2004 with players threatening to leave the program, etc. Forutunately (at least from that perspective), Saban took the Miami job and that situation was cured.
Fans may like Saban more in the long run because they only see what he presents publicly on camera, but I know for sure that players like Miles a lot more in the long run because they see him everyday when the camera is not rolling. Miles is a lot better man than Saban. Saban used to have someone whose specific role was to keep his wife away from him at parties and events ... sounds like a real decent human being, eh?

So after one loss you guys assume that Miles is not worthy of his position?

Are you shocked?

I was much more concerned then than I am after this loss. We didn't really know anything about Les at that point. We know now he's one of the best coaches in the country, that's not even debatable.

Jeez, amazing how we managed to win a NC with him as coach...

He doesn't know.

a good precedent would be to find Bo Schembechler files of what he did at times like these
Miles=Bo
Miles=Bo

You act like our coaches are a bunch of functional retards. I think they realize their scheme sucks big time. Let's see if they do anything about it now.

I am honestly unsure whether he can differentiate between execution and scheme deficiency. It appears that he thinks that the base scheme is fine, but that young inexperienced players are 100% the reason why our pass defense has continued to struggle over a protracted period of time. To me the problem is ~70% poor scheme and 30% poor execution (which is part due to inexperience and part due to poor coaching). To listen to Miles, and to observe his lack of changes over a long period of time, infers strongly that he does not think the schemes are an issue (perhaps due to his lack of personal defensive coaching experience, which i think he has none of), and as such it appears that he thinks it is 90% execution and 10% scheme.
I, and most, think this is dead wrong.

we can only hope and pray that they actually realize this. I see no evidence that they do becuase they keep running the same crap out there, and did so since mid-2007.

why did we see absolutely no adjustments after the AU game, then the MSU game?
i believe it's more arrogance and stubbornness than stupidity, but still.
