Why have it at alll…..spring games are so boring…and hot at 1pm…..why not have a 6pm game that doesn’t conflict with a noon baseball game…..
This. It's clear that LSU doesn't care about attendance, so why not just have a closed scrimmage? I can't believe that they haven't tried just once having the game at night like so many other schools do.

It used to be at night

When? I don’t ever recall a 7:00 PM start for a spring game.

It was at night a few years back maybe 2016 or 2017. That was the last spring game I went to. I remember they moved it to the indoor practice facility after halftime because of lightning.

Poor planning; same time as baseball game. If at night would be better attendance for both games.

When I was growing up, in the 60's and 70's, the spring game was always at night. Between that and the regular season games at night, it was quite a few years before many of us ever glimpsed Tiger Stadium in the daylight.
ETA: I do recall an afternoon game in Tiger Stadium against Ole Miss when Joe Labruzzo was playing, but those were rare. LSU also stunk it up that day, and Tiger Stadium was dead.

Are all the fans in the upper deck?
