Being Realistic

At the beginning of the season I think that 90% of all LSU fans would have willingly agreed to only have 1 loss after 2 away games with Auburn and Florida. I understand that the it was a far worse loss than you would want, but it is still only one loss. Florida did not get 2 wins for that one, and we did not get 2 losses. It is only one game, and we can rebound back if the players and coaches get their act together and come out READY for South Carlolina.

It's not about the damn LOSS!!!

thank you Tiger n Chains. These people really don't get it. I see a trend developing and maybe spinning out of control. We got owned, yes i can live with that, but we are giving up over 30 points a game in our last 10 games versus BCS teams.

Did you expect to have one of the worst SEC defenses at this point in the season?

It's about the TREND NOT the loss.
Please...no more trying to justify this stuff.

Yeah but did you expect Auburn to be 3-3 with losses to Auburn and Arkansas? Did you expect to give up 24 to State? Did you expect to have anybody hang 50+ on this defense?
Its not the L that bothers people, its giving up 51 points, struggling to make key defensive stops, and a complete lack of aggression on defense.

We'll see if it happens against S.C. then pull out the worry beads. I'm willing to let the coaches make the adjustments now that it is so publicly obvious that our defense has issues. They can no longer excuse it away, it is very apparent for everyone to see.
If Spurrier rips our D a new a-hole, look for the shite to hit the fan in BR.

i wish yall would understand, yes the defense played badly but florida also played perfect. we decided to play our worst game the week florida decided to play their best.

I'm with you on this one...Let's see what the D does against SC...if they light us up like UF then we need to worry

and the defense has gotten worse each of the last 3 weeks, and the first time we play a good offense, we get throttled, that's the problem, it would be one thing if we were giving up 15pts. a game, and were aggressive, blitzing, pressuring, getting turnovers, and then we have this happen against florida, that wouldn't bother me too much. But, it's a trend.

Didn't we win a NC a few games ago? We already are spiraling downward?

yall are fricking STUPID. yes the d needs to be fixed BUT the sky is not falling.

It's not a FREAKING TREND! We just don't have a good defense this year. You can't use last year as a measuring stick considering the injuries, change in DC, and players. It may get better as players know their roles/assignments as the season progresses or it may not. I doubt very seriously it will get worse. This is a 9-3 team. Get over it!

maybe...maybe not. I can't foresee the future. and neither can the trend-seers on this board.

Seems the game plan needed to change when Fla got out to such an early lead but yet again peoples ego wouldnt let it.
