Which of these situations is most likely to shut down gobbling?

You are the problem. Quit calling to turkeys just to make them gobble. Making a turkey gobble is easy. Making him come to you isn't always.

Also, it's not uncommon for turkeys to shut down gobbling. They don't get "lock jaw" or "call shy." They just gobbled up their hens that morning and go about their day doing turkey shite. It's all biology.

Your threads frustrate the hell out of me by the way. I don't know where you are or if you are a troll but if you were close I'd come help you kill a turkey just to keep from having every thread you start be about how you got whipped by a bird.

I suggest you (OP) do a little research on types of turkey calls and their uses and meanings.

Good luck!
