getting rid of CPA that wont answer calls or emails. need to file extension on my own for first time while searching for a new one.

married, file jointly, have 2 LLC's, one I own by myself, one I own with wife.

still owe some for last year, what's easiest way for me to file extension for our personal and the businesses and make a payment?

get k1's for the business, w9s have the sole proprietor/single member llc checked on it.

is it 3 separate extensions for all 3? or I just do a personal extension and it counts for the businesses as well?

also need to make our estimated payment for first quarter this year...FML

IRS.gov - Extension of Time to File

LA Dept of Revenue

That will cover your individual return. You can send in a check with the 4868. Send that rig certified mail and keep the receipt incase they try saying they never got it.

Partnership and S-Corp returns were due back on March 15th so assuming the CPA didn't already extend you, the LLC with the wife is late (state you can still extend though).

As long as the other LLC isn't an S-Corp you should be fine with it since it will be on your schedule C on the individual return and covered by that extension.

Husband and wife owned LLCs can be a disregarded entity and the income and deductions reported directly on your individual return. The single member LLC income and deductions should be reported on your individual return.

So unless you previously elected to file a 1065 for the husband and wife jointly owned LLC, only one extension needs to be filed, and that is for your personal return.

I strongly encourage you to find a new CPA immediately. Don't try to take this on by yourself if you don't have knowledge about federal and state income tax laws.
