Never understand why a multi millionaire like Favre would do things like this. You've got cash falling out of your pocket.

Don't even know what to say about that type of logic.

One of the former senators was on the appropriations committee and wielded huge power on federal appropriations. Can't remember his name Roger Wicker maybe.

Hailey Barbour is also a crook. He's making shitloads as a lobbyist now. That's what these politicians do. They get in power and then make millions on lobbying fees while also grifting appropriated funds. All of them need to be put in prison.

OP was lamenting that they were stealing from the poor. They were not as it is not the poor's money. They did not earn it.

Uhhh, he stole money that the poor earned? Or did he steal tax dollars from the non-poor? Seems it's not the poor's money, it's the taxpayers'.

Given that is the state of MS the taxpayers are poor

3 pages and no one has given a great synopsis - so here's my attempt

Lots of grant money came available - meant to go to needy families in Mississippi

A foundation called Families First of Mississippi was formed by Nancy New and her son - friends of former governor Phil Bryant

John Davis, a good ol boy was named head of the Mississippi Department of Human Services

John Davis and Nancy New started passing this money out by the millions. Some legitimate, some not. Brett Favre gets involved and gets a $5 million promise to build a new volleyball arena at USM. Marcus Dupree buys a new house in Madison but he seems to have performed the duties he was paid for, albeit he was paid more than he needed to be. DiBiase and kids were paid to do nothing.

A bogus company from Florida pops up and pitches Favre that they can keep football players from getting concussions. Favre has the IQ of a peanut so he invests without due diligence.

Favre pitches Bryant on the idea and Bryant appears to be on board but "he cant invest until he's no longer governor."

Favre introduces bogus company to Nancy New and she invests with funds from Family First. These are taxpayer funds, of course.

Bryant leaves office and shite starts to unravel. Nancy New and John Davis are arrested. They turn on Favre. Phil Bryant starts whistleblowing on everyone.

This week, Mississippi Today publishes a breakdown of the scandal that includes text messages that the former governor may have been more involved than originally thought.

Basically

Nancy New and her son are facing 100+ years
John Davis was used and he is facing 10+ years
Favre probably needs to be arrested
Dibiase probably needs to be arrested
Corrupt Florida CEO probably needs to be arrested
Still a question on whether Phil Bryant knew nothing, knew and let it happen, or orchestrated the whole damn scheme.

I've had one experience with Ted. He gave an hour of testimony and then after the final prayer moved to a table setup where he was selling his merchandise. His story was great even though it was a speech he had given hundreds of times. He did give off a few negative vibe at the table. I almost bought his book but those vibes steered me away from it.

I am not surprised by his limited involvement since he does come across as a "C list" evangelist. However I think it could be a case of family/business partners betraying his trust and not being fully informed of what he was signing.

We've got a President's family doing this on a much larger scale, and there isn't even a one part story being done.

Not understanding why Farve should be arrested based on this.

I believe he still owes money back to the state for services not rendered regarding "speaking engagements". He was paid in advance through this same fund possibly.

Not sure if I'm errantly merging the two Brett Favre/MS Public Fund scandals or if they are entirely seperate? Even if they are seperate then wouldn't Favre be somewhat responsible for recruiting Bryant as an investor and using him as a conduit to access these misappropriated funds?

The FBI has investigated.

Their conclusion is that a special prosecutor should be appointed to investigate Donald Trump and that Hillary Clinton is not involved.
