I have 8 JD 5055E tractors with EGR crap that don’t use DEF. It’s not ideal for catfish farm paddle wheel use, it goes into regen mode in middle of night and revs up to 1400 rpm on a 540 pto and puts way too much strain on the equipment trying to push that much water.
Put a gear reduction on your aerators and set your rpms high enough.

And then my guys who cut off and service tractors each morning forget not to turn it off if it’s in regen and it ends up throwing a bunch of lights on and running 1/3 power until I get a technician to come reboot it and do a burn off for about 1,000 bucks.
Fire some mofos.

Do you need me to come get shite on track?

Not possible. They’re made with a straight shaft into old cotton picker bull gears or a half track rear end from WW2 army trucks. So technically it’s already reduced but they don’t make anything that would work that further reduces it. It’s getting difficult to find replacements when they break, as there is a limited supply of 50 year old bull gears and nobody makes new cast iron casings to copy them

shite then I wouldn’t have any help. I haven’t received a single job applicant in 3 years. These guys been here 10+ years. Hard to find help in this industry unless you get Mexicans through H2A program
