2 things about the UF game that I didn't "enjoy"

Number 1 - Under Les Miles, I've never seen an LSU team quit. I think we saw that on Saturday. I don't think it's necessarily a problem until it becomes a multi-game trend, but I think when the 3rd quarter comeback didn't happen, the air was gone from the balloon and the team quit trying. That's the first reason that the score got out of hand. The second reason is...
Number 2 - Florida never lost that killer instinct. Even when they were up by 20+, they were playing like it was a tied ball game. That's something we don't see a lot from Les Miles LSU teams. I always get the sense that once the game is in hand, even against SEC competition, the Tigers seem to go into a mode of going through the motions. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. You certainly don't want to have to sustain the emotion that it requires to do that every game. It's not sustainable and you risk injury. However, I think that it plays into the argument that LSU is lucky. The voters rarely see LSU absolutely blow away even bad BCS conference teams for 4 quarters (VA Tech being the obvious exception). Again, I don't know if it's good or bad in the long-term, but Florida definitely did that on Saturday.
I expected a loss in this game, and for that reason I think I was somewhat prepared. But, I was definitely discouraged by these two factors. Oh well, let's go beat Scarolina!

Precisely the thing that bothers me the most. Wondering if I was the only person who saw this.

The trash talking was also not enjoyable IMO.

In your defense, this is the first time in awhile I've seen the Gators show a killer instinct when leading big. I think we were extraordinarily up for this ball game. I hope it carries over to the rest of the season. Who knows, maybe this loss will be good for you guys. Our loss to Ole Piss motivated us, and you guys are definitely not lacking in talent. Do us a favor and knock off the Cocks and the Dawgs... Maybe we'll see ya in Atlanta.

they didn't quit so much as just play awful defense and got blown out, like I keep saying Fla is not a hard team to figure out, you want to stack the box on everything they do. they hand the ball off to 4 different backs, if they don't do that Tebow keeps it and runs his slow arse up the gut. you want to force him to pass, beat you with the pass, LSU gave him way to much time in the pocket, IDK what the coordinators were thinking.

Agree, the worst part was that fact that LSU late in the game looked lost and had given up. The on-field trash talk was over the top as well, and very apparent. It did not represent LSU well at all.
Hopefully this is what we need to get a fire lit the rest of the year.

1) we lost
2) we lost by 30

if it's that easy, then why don't you go write our coaching staff and explain it to them.
Or write our AD and apply to be our new DC.
We could really use you!

You are correct in your observations.
We won the NC last year. Florida won it the year before. We won it in 2003. What happened the next year in every case?
This is why it is so hard to repeat in any sport.
Add to that the fact that we beat Auburn at Auburn and Florida lost to Ole Miss, and you have the perfect storm.
I don't mean this to trivialize the loss, because we have problems on defense that can't really be explained away like our inexperience at the QB position on offense.
People will calm down and reflect better on the season when the time comes. We will lose a couple of more games along the way, and finish with three or four losses. This was expected by those that live in the real world. But that doesn't make it any easier to swallow in the moment.
Let's hope that the players that will carry this program back to the top get the experience they need and stay healthy.
Let's hope that the coaches put them in the best position to win. Against even competition, emotion can be the biggest determining factor, and Florida had the edge for several reasons.

Ridiculous. Blame the kids if you want, the coaching staff has issues. Not rocket science to see.

Nailed it. Two weeks to implement a game plan as well. It's a little unsettling. Love how these peeps question your fanhood. Any true fan, who lives and dies LSU would be disheartened after what they witnessed. We just want it fixed.

I didn't like this either, but the Gators were talking LOTS of shite. Very unsportsman like.

As were UF fans TWO week ago.....chill and give them the chance to fix it.

we don't have the LB's to cover the spread, we have not had quality LB's since the Brady James era. I don't know why we can't seem to sign any.

Maybe so, but when you are getting beat in every aspect, just make the play and get back to the huddle. Seems like every time a player made a play, even 10 yards down the field they were trash talking. I commented to my wife during the game.
