Honestly It’s hard for me to figure out whose exactly stopping or fighting against legalization at this point. Ciggerette companies have all diverted and out a heavy amount of their resource behind their own weed companies and honestly I don’t think that’s really a big correlation between those two industries
Seems like either side could make it a no brainer layup for either side of the isle to get done and get to claim victory for economically and tax wise. I guess they never want to get rid of the carrot at the end of the stick
ETA the advancement of Delta 8 and Delta 9 is also going to push the timeline up a bit because of how muddy the waters get legally. At some point these states will have to fold when they see so much money going out the door to their surrounding states you would think
