Having grown up with a Grandfather with a Stoma (hole in his neck due to smoking and subsequent cancer and removal of his vocal cords) I recommend not smoking or using tobacco. I also lost a good friend recently to lung cancer. Just my plea to folks to avoid tobacco.

Cigarettes do carry higher risk than cigars. Also moderate cigar smoking has been found to not carry any higher cancer risks than regular wine drinkers face.I'm talking 1 cigar/day or less. And yet all the soccer moms are smashing wine on a daily basis like it's good for them.

I'm not obtuse to the risks, but considering that cortisol and stress are also big contributing factors to cancer, I must say that reducing them by smoking a stogie at night doesn't strike me as irresponsible. Everyday we take risks, it's what we do.

Plus a lot of those “studies” don’t parse out cigar only users from cigar&cigarette users, which isn’t an uncommon scenario.
But fwiw I rarely smoke 1/day more like 3-4/ week more or less.

Except wine has some heath benefits and likley not lead to oral and lung cancer like cigars.
