Glad ya'll had a good time. I went to Baton Rouge last year and had a great time(minus the loss) and have every intention of going back again next year. Turning into a pretty good rivarly, LSU is kind of replacing Tennessee for us until they can win an SEC game.

It is not working with the 2 DCs, so will they change? When? Please say it will be soon. How can quick decision get made by 2 people? It seemed that there was a lack of speed in the players when it was probably the lack of comfort with knowing the calls. We should change this......today.

UFPD are pretty hardcore about game day arrests.

LINK

Haven't seen the numbers for the LSU/UF game yet.

We were harassed after the game. Cops were kicking out gator fans as well. I was on the 40 with som students and the cops told us to not stand on the seats even though the Gators behind us and the people in front of us were.

That didnt make since to me...It looked like a small 100people LSU student section in the middle of the florida student section

Just got back from the game. Here are some tidbits from my trip. First we stop at Florida State on friday to check out there campus. We where able to go inside there stadium, which was nice, but VERY SMALL. There campus was ok but nothing compared to LSU or UF. The UP fans we met at the game we nice and very respectful of LSU. As far as tailgating UF got a Big Zero. That was the quitest fans, no music,no cooking, they just seemed dead. We even pick with them told them to get fired up. As far as the swamp they seem to flip a switch, because it was loud. The pipe in music sucked, felt like a pro game. I hope LSU NEVER GOES TO THE PIPE IN MUSIC. The game was ugly, but when we made the score 20-14 the swamp went silent, and there fans look worried.Uf put a good whipping on us,so congrats to them. They campus is really nice very clean.

i agree with most of the posters

LSU fans were VERY LOUD tailgating & obviously were showing up the gator fans...unfortunately, our football team did the exact opposite...the swamp was very tiger stadium-esque...definitely loud

the florida fans were all nice before the game as i think everyone was uneasy who would win...after the game though, i got major hell walking back to my vehicle

Wife & I just got back from our second trip to Gainesville ('06 and '08). Agree with many of the comments on here. The campus is indeed very nice. We tailgated by the Engineering building (wow) all day and didn't have any problems with open container law. In fact, we didn't even see a cop all day until we headed for the stadium.

I realize the Tiger nation has its share of jerks, but for a school that has as many recent NCs (in all sports) as UF does, we found too many of the Florida fans to lack any level of humility. I've been to quite a few road games and can't ever recall so many people who yelled f*** LSU or made some other obnoxious comment ("go home inbreds") when we walked around. We generally mind our own business and have no problem with Gator-baiting or jokes about Ricky Jean Francois, but it just shows a complete lack of class when you need expletives to show your school spirit. I guess we just expected Gator fans to act a little more like they've been there before. They aren't some unranked team who pulled an upset - they were a 6.5 point favorite who took care of business at home.

They definitely had it out for us, which is expected. Overall, I think the fans in the swamp were jealous of us for most of the game because we were having the most fun despite losing.

You should have seen the looks on their faces while we did cheers during their alma mater, whatever gay florida song they sang, and several other times where we were partying and they sat their staring in jealousy.

bullshite.

I got everything from getting the finger from cars driving by, to "frick tigers, you pussy arse motherfrickers", to one guy telling my woman she'd be better off playing in traffic and having a retarded child than being a tiger fan.

dude, we have a-holes too, unfortunately. It's usually some punk trying to make themselves feel tough/ superior... Blow that shite off.... And then don't do it to visitors who come to TS.

Our experience was much better at Florida then at Bama last year.

Just got home as well. Had a good time before the game, but their tailgating atmosphere is waaaaay tamer than ours. Met some nice gator fans and some douche bags, but there are plenty of those around LSU too.

At the game, had GREAT seats in the Florida Alumni section behind the FLorida bench on the 50. Some jackass behind me kept calling people from louisiana "stupid coonass motherfrickers" after he said it i turned around, dude was in his late 30's, wearing cut off jean shorts and an orange florida shirt circa 1996 with the sleeves rolled up to his shoulder. All i could do was laugh and begin to wonder if there was any difference between a coonass and a redneck. Please enlighten with any insight.

The game: was pretty lame. defense was lost and the QB play was terrible, but I don't know many freshman that could do well in that atmosphere. Florida was pumped up and ready to roll us over.
