I've been to 99% of the home games since 2002. If you ask me, LSU needs to start by controlling what it can control.

Quick fixes

1. Experience in Tiger Stadium - We need to do more to get and keep people excited. It's sleepy in there. Those goofy lights at Alabama? Make fun all you want but they work. While adding concert lighting may be a little extreme, see 1A.

1A. Band - did anyone notice how much AU's band played on Saturday? As much as our offense got outplayed in the fourth quarter, the AU band outplayed the Tiger Band for four quarters. We should be playing songs every week that get the fans involved (e.g. Hey Baby, Livin' on a Prayer, etc.). We've eliminated every single song and chant that got the students and the fans fired up.

2. WiFi - it's 2021 and there's no working WiFi (or cell service) in the stadium. This is the day and age of instant gratification/I watch 4 games at once culture. We've got to get in line here.

3. Tailgating - We've been out there since 2002 and LSU makes this harder every single year. From new parking rules, more and more access restrictions, no indoor bathroom access, constantly relocating portable bathrooms, to free spots moving further and further out, it's made coming to campus a once or twice a year thing for many people instead of an every week tradition.

4. Concessions - It's well documented but concessions are awful. Considering the massive wall that's been built along the back edge of the East Upper, couldn't we outsource to food trucks at this point?!

5. Customer Service/Ticket Office - Anyone else call over there lately? You're on hold at least 30 minutes. Surely TAF can hire some more student workers to get that place running smoothly? It's a win win - their revenue source is happy and we are putting students to work.

Longer term

1. Coaching- Our kids weren't put in a position to win on Saturday. There were no schemes to get the running game started and it doesn't take Peyton and Eli to figure out that with no running game, the opposition can easily drop 6-7 into coverage (see AU's Q4 gameplan). I personally like O and thinks he's been a great representative of our state nationally (ask around - people from all over the place know and love him) and our team but at some point, Woodward is going to have to ask whether he's the right guy for the job. Saban churns through successful assistants year-in and year-out. This team has lots of talent - surely there is someone who can put these kids in a position to win. Winning cures all - a football team that will struggle find 3 more wins this year won't fix any gameday atmosphere.

2. The Concourses behind the 100 and 300 sections - it's long past time to renovate those to make them hospitable. Add some places to sit, a bunch of tvs showing other games, etc. Say what you want about TAMU but the reno on Kyle Field is first class. People want to get in there when gates open.

3. COVID - The restrictions on entering the stadium don't help but regardless, you still have a fair amount of the population that is still laying low. Until there's some Bourbon drink that makes COVID go away, game day is going to continue to be less than what it was in 2019 and before.

I'll admit - I was stunned to see people streaming out at half on Saturday against a rival in what was a very entertaining game up to that point. In all fairness though, Saturday was a tough day. It drizzled pretty much constantly from 2-6pm and kicking off at 8pm makes for a significantly longer day than a 6pm.
I spoke to the ticket office today (after being on hold for a solid 46 minutes). For McNeese, they are selling overnight parking passes at Tiger Park from 12pm-6pm on Friday the 10th. For the other games, they are going to be selling overnight passes online.

Second edit: it appears, depending on which map you look at, that these may have been rebranded as Reserved Street Parking.

Third edit: Contrary to what the ticket office just told me, it appears the first two games are being sold online as Lot 314.

re: How was your Gameday Experience?

We had a good experience in 402. Got there shortly after 12 noon and largely followed the rules. Played music and had a few drinks while the kids played catch. No one bothered us although the folks in the next car over said that they were scolded earlier in the day for removing an ice chest from their car (although I counted 4-5 visible from my vantage point). It won't happen due to the current political climate but the school should really be more effusive in permitting NFL style tailgating (i.e. no over the top setups, just at your parking space) - it would pump some life into an otherwise lifeless crowd.
I have now called twice on this topic and heard something similar both times. They said there would be a link going out today or tomorrow where we could add additional free and/or paid passes. The rep today even suggested you could buy one in the same lot where you have a current season ticket pass. Not sure I believe that part but that would be very helpful if accurate.
I think the UF/TAMU game was actually on ESPN because CBS coverage of college football had not yet started due conflicts with the US Open.
Are gas stations and grocery stores operating normally again? We drive in for home games from TX and are obviously concerned about the scarcity of gas and don't want to make a challenging situation worse if gas, groceries, etc. are in short supply. Thanks in advance.
The wife and I have been bringing our son since he was 1. He's been to big games (Alabama) and cup cakes. I think the "right age" depends on the kid. Our boy enjoys the sounds and sights and sitting with family and friends.

If I remember correctly, they don't let you have open flames or generators/invertors.

Is this only in the quad or is this ban UA campus wide?

Wouldn't happen to be the Continental flight that left around 4:48pm?!

We were on the CO 10:15am, however I'm sure it happened all day. I tried to standby for the first two CO flights from PIT to IAH on Sunday and those flights were also 70-80% LSU (as was the 2:41pm).
We started bringing my son when he was approx. 16 months last year. We did the Tennessee, Alabama, & Ole Miss with him (the 2:30 games). He typically isn't overly interested in the game but enjoys sitting in his own seat, talking to the people around us, etc. We bring lots of snacks (i.e. Cherrios, cookies, etc.) for him to munch on during the games and keep him occupied. We sit in the East Upper and let him play on the ramp near the SEZ during the half.

There's a walkway (primarily for handicapped seating) that runs the length of the East Upper, just behind the Tiger Terrace, that we typically hang out on during the latter parts of the fourth quarter. I doubt we are suppose to congregate there but most of the ushers are very tolerant provided we aren't blocking the aisles, annoying other guests, etc.
Went to State & WVU. Going to Tennessee & Alabama. Also have hotel reservations in Atlanta.

I certainly don't disagree that our fanbase isn't perfect however I think there's a pretty significant difference in adding some color to song lyrics and repeatedly getting in the face of the opposing fanbase and telling them to f*ck off, go suck a d*ck, etc.
The decorum (or lack thereof) with which their student body and younger fans carried themselves was pervasive across the population. All schools (definitely LSU inclusive) have their bad apples, but this was just ridiculous. I went into this game having a certain level of respect for what the WVU football program has accomplished (i.e. Sugar Bowl win vs. Georgia, perpetually in the discussion for a BCS bowl, good recruiting across state lines, talented young coach, etc.) but left viewing them as a small-time player who got lucky and managed to land a couple of sucker punches. The WVU brand just isn’t something that I see as being consistent with the other schools in the SEC.

lots of Tigers at Morgantown Brewing Company
anyone who has anything nice to say about WVU wasn't on High Street tonight. I know every fanbase has its bad apples but this is a classless group who showed they don't belong in the SEC. My apologies to the WVU fans who were respectful - y''all were great.
gibbies is very LSU friendly in a town of absolute pricks. these morons can't say LSU wtihout a frick. WVU: act like you've been there. Gibbies was bringing LSU fans front of line at midnight.
fixed, thanks for the heads up
Is the donation on the east upper deck chair back seats the same as the west side (i.e. $400/$500)? The Tradition Fund link punts to TAF, but I can't seem to find it on their website either.

Yesterday I noticed that AT&T had stationed a mobile tower out by Lot K (near the old Box, other side of the railroad tracks) however like the rest of you, I still had problems. Had zero problems using AT&T while at Jordan-Hare a few weeks back. Must be a BR network problem.

We were by the engineering building (Alvin Black Hall I think) in '06 and '08 and had no problems with cops, Gators, etc. Parked right by our tailgate and Black is open for restrooms. Decent hike to stadium but very nice spot to tailgate in.
