Kim Mulkey - 26 Win Season is Just the Beginning!

Kudos to our ladies and Kim Mulkey for having such a great season in her first year here. Some believe that next year's team will have significant dropoff. I tend to agree with this article. There may be SOME dropoff, but I wouldn't be surprised to still see a 20+ win season.......

TBH I could see 26+, due to she now has control over non conference schedule (No FGCU!) and with UGA coach going to A&M they both will be down.
Also, teams who beat us (UF, Ark, UK, but not SC) all lost a TON! Finally we won no SEC tourney games and only one NCAA, no way that ever happens again under her. SC is only top tier SEC team and we get TN at home next year.
Sure, early we may lose a game or two we should not, but by YE...we will be rolling. Even if we go 12-4 or 11-5 in SEC (from 13-3) we will make up for it in SEC and NCAA trnys.

Missing out on Jackson hurts. She would have helped us immediately.
I think we will take a step backward in 22-23, but move forward in 23-24 and after.
Our 21-22 roster was heavy with grad students and seniors. I hope Alexis Morris returns. That would be big for next season. And with Kim coaching, we will never be completely out of it.
I will happily renew my season tickets.

Morris has already announced she's returning. I wouldn't get too frustrated with Jackson. There'll be many more ladies entering the transfer portal when this tournament ends. Just today, three of Kentucky's STARTERS entered the portal. I trust Coach Mulkey will get what she needs in addition to this very good recruiting class we have coming next semester.

As far as I can see, it's out of the blue. However, when this many STARTERS transfer out, there's generally something going on to cause them to transfer............
