It’s pretty cringy.

My brother was in the AF and HATED when people said it to him.

If I served I would find the respect to be uplifting and encouraging. I don’t like attention, but appreciation is always nice.

I am thankful for anyone who is willing to go into the service regardless of what perks they may receive. They deserve it. Their service is important for our protection.

This is similar to what a lot of my friends thought as well. May not have hated it, but Def gave the eye roll “no problem” response every time
