Well spreaders provide a guideline of what setting used be used for different fertilizers or granule sizes but my spreader (Shindawai RS40) doesn’t have recommended setting for LESCO products, so I’ve had to learn the settings by trial and error for the different granular lawn products I use, making 2 passes through the lawn, each perpendicular to the other. Once I dial it in I write it down in the spreader instruction manual.
