re: Paying your kids for good grades

If the parents were planning to pay for college, they might get off cheaper by giving their kid $1000/yr and motivating them to make good grades which could lead to a scholarship and the parents not having to pay for college. There are other ways of looking at it. Also, they don’t have to spend as much money for Christmas or birthdays if the kid buys what they want with the money they earned.
