I pay mine 20 per A and 10 per B on each report card.
My middle schooler gets a $500 bonus at the end of the year if he has straight As all year. He gets $100 bonus if he gets A/B all year. He has never made a B so he costs me.
My 10th grader gets $1000 for straight As and $500 for A/Bs. I'll only ever have to pay $500. Has to be over the entire school year.
It has always worked well for us. It establishes the value of discipline, performance and excellence which we hope translates into their careers down the road.
Edit: For AP classes, I do $30 per A and $15 per B.
