I don't do allowance so they don't learn the handout welfare system. Strictly money for chores done, and they choose which chores. Some chores pay more than others.

Also, I double whatever money they save at the end of each year. One of my children won't spend a dime, and is draining my wallet. I had to double $500 last year. The other blows his money as soon as it hits his hands. He doubled $5 last year.
