This is what hurts. Kansas and Auburn are backing their programs.
I’m pretty sure they also didn’t have coaches with direct links between personal bank accounts and illicit payments or text messages on their own regularly used cell instead of a burner. LSU had no choice.
Wade had to go. And they had to do it now because the NOA was delivered this week. As soon as it was delivered, FOIA requests hit LSU. They had to release the LOA. Once that timeline was set in motion, today was the day it all had to happen.
I have been a Wade supporter. But what he did was so stupid he couldn’t stay. I have no doubt down the road he will return a wiser man and have great success somewhere. But the caveat is he has to be able to learn from this experience.

Would be nice if our administration would actually have some balls and a back bone to tell the ncaa to frick off like auburn has multiple times.
Instead we love to bend over and take it in the arse and say thank you.

The NCAA needed a scalp to show they still have a shred of power, Scott gave it up to his daddy in law. LSU continues to be a willing bitch
Whats worse though, is this choice could now frick us harder with sanctions. Cooperating with tthe ncaa never works out for the school. Hell, even if they did slap us with major violations. Who better to navigate us through that than Wade

Its sad what the admin is telling us about how much they care about the program
I’m torn on this one, if Wade did what is alleged in the NOA, we had no choice but to let him go.
I just don’t think Woodward ever did much to fight for Wade. He wanted his own guy.
I loathed how bad LSU basketball was from 2010-2017. We were horrendous. Will Wade brought back the excitement.

Both auburn and Kansas have been alleged to have 4-5 level 1 violations and they have told the ncaa to pound sand. Hell,, auburn had an assistant coach arrested on campus and Pearl got an extension.
The difference is our administration doesn't have the balls or the back bone to stand their ground against the worthless organization that is the NCAA.

All of this. Wade was sloppy as shite but i think we could’ve at least rode the season out. Hopefully this means we’re closing quick on someone

I don’t know but it seems like going forward payments can now be wrapped up as NIL money if people get creative enough.

How in the world do you get this from what happened?
Keeping Wade would have worst sanctions. And Wade knew that which was why he had it in his contract. You give a 4 year post season ban and take away two scholarships and Wade quits. You get rid of Wade to show the NCAA you have it controlled now and hope the sanctions are lessened.
Coaches won’t see it like you see it. Coaches will see it as the admin having the backs of their institution and players.
