Worst case scenario for Russia would be if Ukraine is unwilling to cede the Donbas in exchange for peace. Then the trap will be fully spring. At that point Russia will either have to commit to years of isolation and degradation in exchange for a bloody and unsustainable military victory, or withdraw with no gains.
At this point, Ukraine holds the stronger cards.

This is good news for the Biden's money laundering platform in Ukraine and keeps Hunter's cashflow going with his biolabs, gas, oil, hookers and whatever other crooked deals he's got going in Ukraine.
