It seems like you are extrapolating something out of a statement that wasn't there.

This on it's own, doesn't seem to warrant the response you provided. Wanting to further OPEN UP a market does not strike me as "against the free market."

How in the world is utilizing the fossil fuels we have and becoming energy independent telling refineries where they can buy their stock?

What is subverting the free market is purposely handcuffing the oil and gas industry to raise prices which is exactly what the Biden administration is doing
