Ideally you would want that. But the transfer portal is just too appealing now. If I had a son in Brennans position and he didn’t win the job in the spring, I’d want him to transfer.

I haven't done much research on Daniels but the research I have done does not indicate that he can easily beat out Brennan. Daniels stats are not that impressive. We know he can run but what about his decision making and accuracy?

It’s not really about who WILL win the job. Nobody knows that. Anyone can speculate.

It’s about the best opportunity for Brennan with his limited eligibility. And if Daniels wins the job in the spring, I think he definitely needs to transfer. If there’s no clear cut starter or Brennan is not ready to go for spring, I think it’s definitely a very high probability he transfers. Too much to risk taking it into the fall with so much in the air and his limited eligibility. And I would definitely advise him to transfer. Considering he just went into the portal not long ago, I think we know Brennan is not hesitant to transfer. So again, the chances seem pretty high. Hence Brody’s tweet imo.

But if he’s ready in the spring, I’m thinking all of us will know one way or the other who the best option is. And if it’s close, then great. Either one works for me.
