I hope you realize that this will hurt the GOP in the long run.
The popular talking point from the Democratic ball-washers in the media is that the GOP can never win another election again because their voters are all dying off. That's a MYTH.
Over 5 million people voted for at least 1 down-ballot Republican in both 2016 and 2020 but didn't vote for Trump. There's a reason why we kept at least 50 U.S. Senators, lost very few U.S. House seats, and maintained and added control of state legislatures and Governorships in 2016 and 2020. A lot of people, particularly in the suburbs, who are registered Republicans and Independents who usually vote Republican were turned off by Trump and split their tickets.
If we run someone who doesn't alienate these 5+ million voters, coupled with increasing gains in the Hispanic and African American community, then the Democrats are fricked. They are maxed out with the voting demographics in this country. They know this which is why they and their ball-washers in the media (namely the Lincoln Project) are begging Trump to run again.
The challenge is finding the right candidate who can balance the rural and suburban vote. Romney failed - he did well in the suburbs but vastly underperformed Trump in the rural areas, and his economic message doesn't play well in the midwest. Trump also failed - he did very in the rural areas but underperformed down-ballot R's in nearly every single suburban county. If candidates like Rand Paul and Ron DeSantis can tailor their economic message to folks in the midwest then we have ourselves an unbeatable force.
