You do realize that Putin and Russia can be correctly vilified for invading a sovereign nation while not ignoring the history of the region prior to said invasion...don’t you?

The problem is that the weight given to the "the history of the region prior to said invasion" by the "kind of/sort of pro-Russian" folks on this board is far too much, just like the alleged justifications are given far too much respect.
It would be like trying to defend a schizophrenic person who killed another b/c the killer saw the victim as a rabid unicorn. I mean that's a justification, and we can't ignore how the killer perceived the situation, right?
