Before getting hurt in 2020, Brennan was averaging 26/43 for 371 yds and 3.6666667 TDs. On pace for 4000+ yds and 40+ TDs.

Didn't he only play three games against MSU, Vanderbilt, and Missouri?

He wasn't solely responsible for the team being 1-2 in those games but we shouldn't assume those projected numbers would have been accurate against the meat of the schedule.

Anyway, the competition will decide the starter. Not the partial numbers from 2020.

When an argument for a player starts with this, there's really no argument. Particularly when it's become a common theme.
And to those bashing this move in favor of Brennan and/or Nuss, use your heads. Brennan is an immobile qb with injury issues and Nuss is a quitter(apparently that extra year of bench riding was just too much to pass up). Are those the guys you want to trust to lead the program where we expect to be? Not me. Taking Daniels is a positive move in about every realm possible. Even moreso considering the options we are faced with.
