Oil prices are really hurting them plus they need international travel to normalize again. That is where they make their real money.

So, no.

Buy calls on the way up and puts on the way down. Pretty predictable lately

I saw a story on Boeing that Italian prosecutor should be finished with their inquiry into Boeing 787 in July. Maybe this had something to do with it as well.

I seriously thought about selling my AAL for a $6000 loss yesterday and buying XOM with it. I had bought 1000 shares of AAL a few months ago hoping to quickly flip it and make $1000.

Edit - obviously not going to recoup my $6,000 any time soon if I had done that. It's just the emotional part of wanting to stop the bleeding in my portfolio and buying something that is increasing.

Honestly it's probably a great time to buy airlines. When fuel costs look horrible ( which is cyclical) and the COVID disruptions stemming travel ( which is temporary), it's highly likely to be up from here.

I bit on some UAL today. Small position to sell weeklies against.

Crazy to think not too long ago I sold $58 calls and had my shares taken.

I bought DAL and BA today. I’ll keep adding tomorrow and the next day if they continue to drop. This is temporary.

I wouldn’t spend a plugged nickel on AAL. That is one bad company heading for bankruptcy.
