I could easily see Russia being sanctioned to all hell by the rest of the world, and eventually resorting to even more violence.
The best way to have people support your side is to attack everything that is Russian.
England banned Russia Today so Russia then banned the BBC.
Shutting down information exchange is clearly the best way to go.

Right? And remember, Trump was called a racist just for calling a virus that came from China (in a lab that makes coronaviruses in Wuhan) the China virus.
He wasn’t attacking Chinese food, or the Chinese people.
But now, you can attack long dead composers, Reubens, and Russian cats, and have a big part of the nation applaud.
