She’s too stupid to understand that her best bet to retain a modicum of actual respectability would have been to officially end it all before Mardi Gras. As I alluded, I think I actually sort of prefer the way it played out.

I walked into Rouse's without a mask, shopped around, and went to the checkout line, where the cashier asked me: "do you want a mask?" I said, "no I'm ok." I couldn't help but laugh after the fact, especially at that question--why would I want one when I'm about to leave your store when I've spent the entire time in it without one?
