People always seem to talk down about Jacksonville but I loved my time there. Lived close to the beaches (nice surf compared to the Gulf side), weather not too bad in the summer with a daily sea breeze, and great places to visit within a few hours drive (e.g., Savannah/Charleston/St. Simons Island). I guess Jacksonville has finally been discovered because of the growth there...
