Andersen hopes to return for a final game Dec. 7 and kick one extra point for the New Orleans Saints (for whom he played 13 seasons) when they host the Atlanta Falcons (for whom he played eight seasons).
On Dec. 7, Andersen would be 48 years, 110 days old. George Blanda was 48 years, 109 days old when he played his final game for Oakland on Jan. 4, 1976

Most fans would like to see him suit up Sunday.

It would be nice if Andersen retired (for the last time) as a Saint instead of a Falcon.

Hopefully the game comes to a last second field goal so he can win it one last time.

I loved this guy when he played for us - sounds like a good plan to me!!

Too bad he didn't want to kick a couple of last-minute field goals for us again. We could've used him in Denver & Monday Night!

If Morten really wants to "break" George Blanda's record in such a cheap and meaningless fashion then I've lot a lot of respect for him.

I would love to see Morten return, but I don't think it'll happen. The only person still involved with the organization is since Morten's time with the team is Tom Benson. And Benson doesn't want to do anything that will make the fans happy.

I'm gonna have to agree here, though I do like the idea of making it a charitable type event like he said.

But just to come and kick 1 extra point and get a record like that is pretty lame.

Reminds of Favre taking a fall to Strahan could get the sack record since Strahan couldn't do it on his own.

I don't know, for anybody else, I wouldn't let them, but Morten Andersen, yeah, why not?

We should still ask him to tryout for full time K though.

If it was the Saints idea, I could be ok with it. But the article says it as it was his idea.

I just kinda think it's like, hey everybody look at me, kind of a deal. But he did say he also wanted to do something for charity, so that does help.

I definitely agree with that.

Allowing Morten to come back and kick an extra point and retire his jersey would be great for the Saints and great for the NFL.

They should allow him to do that.

I dont call peeps moron and idiot loosely. But dude, you fit in this category. If that was his motive, he could have hung around and done it. He prolly would have been kept by the falcons, but at the very least, someone would have picked him. Wise up, and the great MO a break
