The weakness thing is terrible, I agree. What could Biden do? The intel agencies all but broadcast the advance and many of us didn't believe it.
That said, if this happened on Trump's watch, he would have been thrown out of office for being a Putin appeaser.

Oh right, you prefer the nuanced and complex verson?
The truth is, whether Xi, Little Kim or Vladimer, Trump spoke directly and bluntly to them without fear or hesitation.
The event where Trump casually mentioned to Xi that he just ordered a bombing in Syria then causally went on talking small talk showed Xi that Trump wasn't the least bit phased by taking bold steps.
Doesn't matter how much you don't want things to be true, they're still true.
