Thats like laughing at 1st class while sitting in coach, right?

This type of douchery is exactly why it's laughed at.

WHy is GOld or Silver valuable? It's valuable because it's scarce. ANd because it's simple, and unable to be duplicated.

But, now theres drive and putt and the women's round (before they scalp the greens, to keep from embarassing them, and you can wait in line to putt on replicas or some other distraction, on and on on and on

For people that have never been to the Masters, but have watched all of your lives.... DO you remember when the tournament was brought to you with only 4 minutes of commercials from their 2 sponsors at the top of every hour? (except of course for the Martha Burke year when they said frick it and went commercial-free with zero commercials?) Okay, you do? SO then you have probably noticed the televised version now has as many commercials as any other event....

THis happened the exact time Berckman's and other shark jumps arrived.

It used to be a regional event A party. Now it's douchebag disney world

I would not have used this verbiage.

I will accede that the age of “trophy travel” has changed the ambience of most events including some aspects of the Masters. However, The Masters is still the best live sports event I have ever attended. If you get away from the crowd, there are some quiet spots where you can watch great shots. 5 green, 7 green, 14 green.

Amen Corner you are pretty far from the shots.

13 green is a long way to ropes from the green.

If you want to see action, 15/16 grandstands will not disappoint.

The practice rounds really do let you see the whole course without the strain of the tournament. Many holes are empty for gaps of time.
